Supported by Elsevier’s leading journal Separation and Purification Technology (JCR Q1 Area, 2021 JCR Impact Factor of 9.136), the 2nd Greater Bay Area Symposium on Separation and Purification Technology (GBA-SPT 2023) and the 2nd Greater Bay Area Symposium on Membranes and Membrane Processes (2nd GBA-MMP) will be held online on May 19-22, 2023.

We are glad to have Prof. Congjie Gao, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the honorary chair of the meeting. Other meeting chairs include Prof. Chuyang Tang (The University of Hong Kong), Prof. Zhiwei Wang (Tongji University), Prof. Tongwen Xu (University of Science and Technology of China), Prof. Shouliang Yi (U.S. National Energy Technology Laboratory), and Prof. Bart Van der Bruggen (KU Leuven). The Executive Committee includes over 50 scholars from universities and research institutes in the Greater Bay Area and beyond (including many international research leaders).

Many renowned scholars, experts, and entrepreneurs will gather in this symposium, with the topics ranging from Membrane-based Separations, Adsorption-based Separations, to Green and Sustainable Separation and Purification Technology, and etc. The aim of the symposium is to provide researchers, entrepreneurs, and students a platform for sharing the latest research findings and engineering cases in all areas of separation and purification technology, and discussing the directions of future development.
